Benjamin's Fund Recipients:

Through all our fundraising efforts, we are able to give assistance to those families whose children are terminally ill.  If you know of a family needing assistance please contact me at bentjmills1219@gmail.com and put Benjamin's Fund in the subject title.

There is a brief screening and application/verification process.

February 2009

T.T from Taunton: His family requested financial assistance and also a special request from him for his family to see Disney on Ice was granted with help from TD Banknorth Garden. He is a16 year old boy with Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy and was not a candidate for a transplant.

We are thrilled to announce that Trent is not diagnosed as terminal anymore.  He is doing very well & we look forward to hearing about his continued progress!!!

May 2010

B.F. from Taunton: Her family requested financial assistance to be able to purchase an all terrain wheelchair to be able to go to the beach, etc.  She was also a guest on Cat Country radio stations morning show with Bridget.  Her story was featured on the front page of the Taunton Daily Gazette on June 2, 2010. She is a 13 year old girl diagnosed with Huntington's Disease.

It is with a heavy heart that I write that she has passed away.  Thank you all for your support of Benjamin's Fund to be able to provide assistance to her.  She will always be thought of and remembered. January 2011

C.B. from Warren, MA: received assistance for a household bill to be able to have one less worry while caring for precious 1 year old baby girl, diagnosed with a condition called, hydranencephaly.  

October 2011

K.B. from Seattle, WA: The family received assistance to help with their growing bills due to caring for their 6 year old girl.  She was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.  This was our first out of state donation and we were thrilled to be able to help the family in some way. 

August 2012

A.J.  from Taunton, MA: Her family requested support to help as they raise their precious 1 year old baby girl who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

It completely saddens us to hear of a childs passing.  Sweet baby girl passed away; gone but not forgotten....

K.R. from Grafton, MA: His family requested help with the families bills while battling cancer with their 2 year old boy.

K.P. from Quincy, MA: The family requested funds to help with bills & with medication for their child that wasn't covered by insurance for their 7 year old girl who has chronic aspirahon 4 end stage lung disease. 

June 2013

L.B. from Westfield, MA: The family requested help with the household bills while caring for their son, a 1 year old boy with severe congenital immunodeficiency disorder now status post a high risk bone marrow transplant. 

July 2013

M.B. from Manchester, NH: The family requested help with their rent and household bills. He is a 16 month old boy who has a poorly defused metabolic disorder that has manifested primarily as uncontrollable seizure activity, resulting in neurological impairment.  His epilepsy is a very refractory type known as Malignant Migrating Epilepsy of Infancy.  His brother passed away from a similar disease at 7 months old. 

Sadly, we were informed that this sweet boy passed away shortly after we were contacted for donation. 

October 2013

A.M from Des Plaines, IL: The family requested help with getting current with their mortgage payments. She is a teenage girl with stage 4 brain cancer. 

Shortly after our donation, we found out that this brave girl lost her battle with cancer.


A.D. from Los Angeles, CA: Her family requested help with their rent & bills to get them up to date while they are in the hospital with their baby. She is a 2 month old baby girl with mosaic Trisomy 13. 

February 2014

O.L. from Wareham, MA: Her family requested help with their mortgage payment as they care for her.  She is diagnosed with neurofibromatosis.

March 2014

C.R. from Jericho, VT: His family requested help with their mortgage payment as they care for him. He is diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. 

June 2014

L.E. from Hudson, NH: Her family requested help with some of their bills. She is diagnosed with Heterotaxy Syndrome.

July 2014

J.R. from Dorchester, MA: His family requested help with their rent while caring for him. He is diagnosed with Lesch-Nyhon Syndrome.


A.L. from Pike, NH: Her family requested help to catch up with their rent payments. She was born with Autosomal recessive kidney disease. 


K.M. from Amesbury, MA: Her family requested help paying their back rent while they care for her, diagnosed with a heart transplant that is being rejected.

F.R. from Lawrence, MA: Her family requested help to pay for installing a ramp on their house.  She is an 18 year old girl with San Filippo disease.


A. R. from Camden, SC:  Her family requested help in preparing for funeral expenses as they didn't have any life insurance.  She is an 11 year old girl with a highly malignant brain tumor.

March 2015

W.E. from Haverhill, MA: His family requested help with their daily living expenses.  He is an 18 year old boy who is medically complex and has severe neurological impairment.

June 2015

L.M. from Ludlow, MA:  His family requested help with buying a power lift recliner to make him more comfortable and mobile.  He is an 11 year old boy diagnosed with Rapid Onset Obesity with Hypothalamic Dysfunction Hypoventilation & Autonomic Dysregulation.

August 2015

D.M. from Middleboro, MA:  His family requested help with their rent & utility bills.  He is a 1 year old boy diagnosed with Alagille's Syndrome.

September 2015

L.P. from Yarmouth, MA: Her family requested help with paying medical bills that were not covered by insurance.  She is a 2 month old girl diagnosed with a history of right congenital diaphragmatic hernia past repair and complicated by ECMO course, among other health issues.


E.R. from Warwick, RI:  Her family requested help with their mortgage as they care for their 37 day old girl diagnosed with Trisomy 13.

October 2015

S.C. from Springfield, MA:  Her family requested help with costs to repair their car.  She is a 3 year old girl diagnosed with a rapidly progressive brain tumor.

November 2015

S.A. from New York:  His family requested help with daily living expenses as Mom has to move to be close to him at the hospital while Dad stayed back home to work.  He is a 9 month old boy diagnosed with very complicated medical conditions causing him to live his entire life in the hospital.


J.E. from Cranston, RI:  His family requested help paying their mortgage while caring for their 11 year old boy diagnosed with several medical diagnosis including a severe seizure disorder and recurrent infections. 


M.G. from Lakeville, MA:  Her family requested help with basic needs & the hospital bills on the way while caring for their 9 month old baby girl diagnosed with Alper's Disease.

Sadly, shortly after donating, we found out this sweet girl had passed away.

E.M. from Red Lion, PA:  His family requested help with purchasing the Eagle Eye System to help with educational and communication needs.  He is a 10 year old boy diagnosed with Hydranencephaly.

R.S. from Medway, MA:  Her family requested help with all of their out of pocket expenses while caring for their 7 year old girl diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease , partial trisomy 18 and deletion of chromosome 8 among other health issues.

August 2016

S.T. from Clinton, MA:  Her family requested help with their mortgage payment while caring for their 21 month old girl diagnosed with infantile onset epilepsy and global developmental delays.

D.H. from Springfield, MA:  His family requested help with their daily expenses as they care for their 8 month old boy diagnosed with very severe lung disease and pulmonary issues.


M.B. from Leominster, MA:  Her family requested help with paying their rent as they care for their 2 year old girl diagnosed with ATRT cancer.

J.M. from Provincetown, MA:  His family requested help paying their rent while caring for their 10 day old boy born at 30 weeks gestation with congenital trachea-esophageal fistula. He also suffered a sever intracranial hemorrhage resulting in severe brain injury.

C.S. from Kittery, ME:  Her family requested help paying their mortgage while caring for their 9 year old girl diagnosed with Pierre-Robin sequence and Loeys-dietz syndrome

February 2017

I.S from Amherst, MA: Her family requested help with money for car repairs since traveling to the hospital was taking it's toll on their car.  She suffered an anoxic event when her tracheostomy became obstructed. 

This sweet girl sadly has passed away, way too soon...


M.E. from Dorchester, MA:  Her family requested help with their rent that was overdue.  She is 4 years old with Trisomy 18.
